Life & Spiritual Classes

Life & Spiritual Classes

LIFE SKILLS: Offered as a Cambridge Project requirement and attended by others interested in practical instruction for everyday life episodes, the Life Skills classes available at Church Army Branson are held twice monthly in interactive classroom settings.

Presented by the University of Missouri Extension Office members, local business and financial leaders as well as qualified experts in their fields, our Life Skills offerings have been expanded to include such classes as Healthy Cooking and Practical Gardening to compliment such topics as Money Management, Employment, Credit Repair, Income Taxes and Checkbook Management.

Employment in the houses remains at nearly 100% and most all who come into the program experience significant wage increases during their stay. Many of the clients attribute these classes to that increased standard of living.

SPIRITUAL CLASSES: Church Army offers Bible based teachings as the foundation of our discipleship classes. Each Tuesday, the fellowship meets for an evening of Biblically based study following a meal prepared by our Volunteer Cooking Ministry with an average of 75 or more in attendance each week.

These classes include diverse offerings in practical Christianity such as Phillip Yancey’s What’s So Amazing About Grace and The Jesus I Never Knew as well as Josh McDowell’s More Than a Carpenter. These Bible based lessons assist us in leading a Christian life.

As the result of Neil Cole’s book, Cultivating a Life For God, small-group meetings are held each week, consisting of reading God’s Word, answering accountability questions and praying together.
